Sony XAV-AX4000 Review: New Design and Wireless Connection

A new lineup of facelift receivers was announced in 2022, the XAV-AX4000 and XAV-AX6000. These are here to replace the older siblings. With these new units Sony is trying to keep up with the competition, but also they listened to the consumer who demanded Wireless Connection. In this article we will take a look at the XAV-AX4000.

Entry Level Digital Receiver

It’s not packed with tons of features, things like HDMI, screen mirroring etc. but has the basics. It’s a simple receiver, and I mean it. The new software interface is very minimalist and easy to use. By far I think it’s the cleanest UI I’ve seen so far. Going back to entry level, well this unit comes with 6.95″ inch anti-glare resistive touch screen. Resistive? Yes, I know it’s not the best touch screen out there but it will do the job.
